Diana Sullivan...founder of Cedar Wildlife Rescue and Associated Wildlife Educators, spent 20 years caring for injured and orphaned wild animals on her farm in Leelanau County Michigan, with a broad membership and strong community support. In 1993 she, and her partner Joe Ferrer, received the award for Environmentalist of the Year in the category of education, (presented by the Northern Michigan Environmental Action Council NEMEAC), for their statewide science/wildlife programs.
